Government leadership joins Tyrannus Apostolic Church’s Easter service

[27-03-2016] At the invitation of Apostle Simon Mokoena, the founding leader of the Tyrannus Apostolic Church, Emfuleni Local Municipality Executive Mayor Councillor Mahole Mofokeng attended the church’s Easter service held in De Deur, Midvaal on Sunday. Also present were Minister of Water and Sanitation Nomvula Mokonyane, Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements Paul Mashatile and Free State MEC for Social Development Sisi Ntombela, Sedibeng District Municipality Mayor Busisiwe Modisakeng and Midvaal Local Municipality Mayor Bongani Baloyi.

Minister Mokonyane donated 350 water wheelbarrows to the church as part of her ongoing drought relief programme to the communities. A further 150 water wheelbarrows will be given to the church by the end of the week, Mokonyane announced. Mokonyane also donated R50 000 to help the church deliver the water wheelbarrows to beneficiaries.

We must stand together in condemning racism – Human Rights day commemoration

[21-03-2016] The Gauteng Provincial Government commemorated 2016 Human rights day under the theme “South Africa United Against Racism”. 

The Honourable David Makhura joined by Free State Premier Mr. Ace Magashule, North West Premier Mr. Supra Mahumapelo, Gauteng MECs, Sedibeng District Executive Mayors, Cllr. Busisiwe Modisakeng, Cllr. Mahole Mofokeng, Cllr. Lerato Maloka and Cllr. Bongani Baloyi launched the theme through a march to condemn racism and discrimination in the province and country as a whole.
