To mark Women’s Month, the Speaker and several stakeholders gathered in different events including Women in Business, Young Women’s Struggle Against Killings and Abuse and the Women “Your are Unique” Celebration.

Speaking at the Women in Business event held at the Vaal Teknorama Museum on Friday, 17th August in Vereeniging, Councillor Tsokolibane encouraged women to share secrets of their success and challenges they have encountered in their journeys as entrepreneurs.

The event was attended by business and career women and also highlighted the need for women to put their wellbeing and health first.

The most important campaign in all the events was the Young Women’s Struggle Against Killings and Abuse, a burning issue across all parts of South Africa as women and girl-children continue to die at the hands of heartless perpetrators.

This event called for an end to gender harm, a scourge that has robbed many families of their daughters, sisters and mothers.
The event was aimed at motivating young women from institutions of higher learning and many others who are affected by gender harm to seek help.
