Media alert: MEC Mazibuko launches know you neighbourhood campaign in Boipatong
The MEC Gauteng Community Safety Ms Faith Mazibuko will on Saturday 17th of September 2011, launch the Know Your Neighborhood Campaign in Boipatong in a bid to enhance;
- Neighborhood Safety Networks
- Community Involvement
It is hoped that the campaign will go a long way in;
- Drastic reduction in Trio crimes (house robberies, business robberies and vehicle hijacking)
- Create a platform for better dialogue between all people and communities
- Shared understanding within neighborhoods
The event will commence with a walkabout, where the MEC accompanied by the Mayor, MMC, Cluster Commanders and Councillors and other dignitaries will interact with communities on issues of crime on the following areas between 10am – 12h30pm
- Vanderbijlpark (Beaqurel Street Sector 1, CW 2, SE 7 Sector 3)
- Vereeniging (Risiville Sector 2, Leeuhof Sector 1)
- Boipatong (Nobel Street)
