The Emfuleni Local Municipality would like to wish matric learners of the class of 2011 all the best as they sit for their matric exams. We are particularly pleased by the fact that during this year there were no interruptions to the learning process and thereby leading to proper preparation on the part of learners.  Also important to note is the commitment shown by educators and parents in the education of our children and our hope for the future.

The government of the day has made education one of its foremost priorities because of its potential to contribute in both industrial and knowledge economy. Therefore our youth is well advised to take up education as pillar in their struggle for economic emancipation in their lifetime. The future is in your hands, take charge of it now and continue to make your community proud. For this period henceforth make reading and studying a hobby which will eventually become an investment that can never be diminished.

As a Municipality, we will continue to make a contribution by recognizing excellence from our successful matric learners. Together with the district office of the Gauteng Education, we will be honouring those among our matriculants who have distinguished themselves.
