Media release: Vaal River Carnival Week Six Events
26 September 2012 - This weekend, the Vaal River Carnival will offer music and beauty pageant. Starting on Friday at 18H00, 12 finalists for Miss Emfuleni pageant will contest for the queen’s title at the Vereeniging Civic Theatre where only one girl will be crowned Miss Emfuleni 2012. Entrance is R90 per person.
On Saturday, the Dickinson Park outside Vereeniging will welcome back the ever popular Jazz by the River featuring among others Gerald Albright, Andy Narrell, Wanda Baloyi and Selaelo Selota. The festival starts at 12h00 and tickets at R200.00 per person are available at Computicket.
Members of the media are invited to attend and give coverage to both events.
The media is also invited to attend the prize giving ceremony for Miss Emfuleni winners which will be held on Monday 01 October 2012 at the Emfuleni Local Municipality’s head office in the Mayor’s Parlour at 14H00.

Accreditation for Miss Emfuleni is available at the Vereeniging Civic Theatre. Kindly provide the names of reporters covering the event. The names should be emailed to me before 12h00 tomorrow (Thursday 27). Remember its two journalists per media house.
