19 October 2012: The Emfuleni Local Municipality, through its water unit Metsi-a-Lekoa, in partnership with Eskom, will host the Safety and Anti-Vandalism Campaign this weekend.

The Campaign was promted by the continued vandilising of infrastructure and ellegal connections of water and electricity by community members.

The main purpose of this Campaign is to  address safety, education, awareness and sharing of information with community members. Emfuleni Local Municipality is losing about 66% of water which amounts to R241 million per annum.

Members of the media are invited to attend and give coverage to the Campaign launch which take place as follows:
