The Speaker of Council, Cllr Maipato Tsokolibane held a media launch on the 20th of September 2016 at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex Zone 14, Sebokeng for the upcoming Ward Committee Elections to cover all 45 wards of Emfuleni.
The Ward committee elections will unfold into two phase, the first phase is the nominations and it closes on the 14th of October 2016.
24 October 2016 – Communities of Vanderbijlpark including Bophelong, Tshepiso and Tshirela are currently hit by water disruptions due to the ongoing water restrictions which have resulted in the water reservoir levels dropping to alarming lows.
Water supplies in other parts of Emfuleni will remain normal as the municipality pushes to restore positive reservoir levels.
