Councillor Manana Kubheka17 June 2016 - The people of Emfuleni will always remember the late former Councillor Manana Kubheka as a humble, selfless, dedicated and committed servant of the people who was loyal to the end.

Those were the words of Emfuleni Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr. Mahole Simon Mofokeng, when remembering the late Councillor, who served both the Sedibeng and Emfuleni Municipalities in various capacities in the past ten years.

10 June 2016 - As part of its commitment to the theme of Getting the Basics Right: Our Programme for Restoration, the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) will on Monday 13 June be launching its Customer service centre.

Located in Vanderbijlpark, the Call Centre is expected to provide a link between the Municipality and its customers, log and resolve queries and ensure that there are proper facilities where payments can be made.

10 June 2016 - You are invited to join the Executive Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality, Cllr Mahole Simon Mofokeng when he delivers the 2016 budget speech. Under the guiding theme: “Getting the Basics Right: Our Programme for restoration”, the address will focus on the 2011-2016 Emfuleni’s overall performance, indicating achievements and challenges.

The municipality’s future plans for better service delivery will also be mapped out.

06 June 2016 - The Emfuleni Local Municipality joins fellow South Africans and arts industry in mourning the passing of much-loved actor, director, playwright and producer, Evaton resident, Nyembezi ‘Tears’ Kunene.

The 57-year old entertainer, who passed away this weekend, is best known for his many roles in the film and TV sector, including popular shows such as Emzini Wezinsizwa; Mopheme, Phamokate, Gazlam, Generations, Isibaya, Ring of Lies, Umlilo, and The Contender, to name but a few.

04 June 2016 - Emfuleni Local Municipality apologises for the break-down in water supply in Sebokeng and some parts of Evaton.

We apologise for the inconvenience and our technicians are busy working on the matter and full water supply will be restored in all affected areas from 12:00 today.
