Warrants of arrest

If an accused failed to meet any or all the obligations set forth by the court, the magistrate will authorize a warrant of arrest. This will result in the arrest of such accused by any peace officer.

The magistrate will authorize a warrant of arrest when:

  • The accused failed to appear in Court on the specified Court date.
  • The accused failed to pay the admission of guilt specified on the “ticket” (notice to appear in Court or a summons).
  • The accused failed to comply with the conditions of bail.
  • The accused failed to comply with the ruling of the Court.
