DAY 4 OF THE CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN RESUMES WITH A COMMITMENT TO RESTORATION As we embark on the fourth day of the Emfuleni-wide clean-up campaign, we are reminded of the collective resolve that was forged during the widely publicized Emfuleni Revenue and Service Delivery Summit. Despite the constraints of limited resources, it was through the vital mechanism of Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) that our vision gained momentum and strength. The Gauteng Provincial Government, recognizing the urgency and significance of revitalizing our municipalities, stepped forward in partnership, -utilizing the IGR framework to mobilize coordinated support in both law enforcement and essential service delivery. This partnership has been instrumental in ensuring that our ambitions are not only declared but realized. Executive Mayor Sipho Radebe’s call to action, encapsulated in the “#PhakamaVaal” campaign, could not have been more timely. It is a rallying cry for civic pride, accountability and action. It reminds us all, -residents, officials, and partners, that meaningful change begins with collective effort and a shared belief in a cleaner, safer, and more dignified Emfuleni. Today, as we continue this eight-day intensive operation, we do so with renewed purpose. We understand that this is not just about waste removal or beautification, it is about restoring a sense of dignity to our communities and demonstrating what is possible when government spheres align with one mission: to rebuild, restore, and uplift. Let this be more than a campaign. Let it be a turning point. Issued by the Communication Department.
