The Procurement department manages the supply and acquisition of goods and services for the Community/Public on behalf of the Emfuleni Local Municipality. This includes construction works, consultant services, the disposal of surplus goods, and the selection of contractors to assist in the provision of municipal services.

The department is committed to ensuring a sound, sustainable, and accountable procurement system that promotes black economic empowerment, local economic development, and supports small businesses and joint venture partnerships. The procurement process is designed to be fair, equitable, transparent, competitive, and cost-effective, in alignment with the Constitution of South Africa.
