CHANGE OF BANKING SERVICE PROVIDER
ELM consumers urged to use correct bank accounts to make payments
The Municipal Financial Management Act (MFMA) read with Municipal Supply Chain Management Regulations requires a municipality to renew the tender for primary banking services every five (5) years.
Through a competitive bidding process, First National Bank (FNB) was awarded the tender for the provision of primary banking services for Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM). In consequence, the municipality notified all consumers of the change of its bank and further advised consumers to use the new banking details to make payments.
As of tomorrow (Thursday, 15 July 2021), the old ELM Standard Bank and Absa Bank accounts will be closed. The municipality hereby urges all consumers to pay their rates and services directly into the new ELM FNB Primary Bank Account.
