27 August 2014 - The Emfuleni Local Municipality, in partnership with local businesses, will be celebrating the 12th edition of the Vaal River Carnival from this weekend. 

This annual event will be showcasing a mixture of talent for two weeks starting Saturday 30 August until Sunday the 7th of September 2014.

On Saturday, Riverside Sun Resort in Vanderbijlpark will host the Chili Cheese and Wine Festival from 12h00. This event will feature a cuisine exhibition where various dishes will be showcased from women owned outlets.

The annual Spring Beer Festival will be celebrated at Stonehaven-on-Vaal also on Saturday from 12h00 till late. The festival’s line up include Karen Zoid, Freshly Ground, Gangs of Ballet, former 5FM Deejay Alex Jay and many more.

The final event for Saturday will be the Vaal Praise and Worship Explosion at the Emerald Resort & Casino from 15h00. Artists include Rebecca Malope, Sfiso Ncwane and many more.

Then on Sunday, it will be the second take of the Chili Cheese and Wine Festival at the Riverside Sun Resort as part of the women’s month celebration.
