17 July 2017 - On Tuesday 18 July 2017 - The Executive Mayor of the Emfuleni Local Municipality Councillor Mahole Simon Mofokeng, Speaker and the Chief Whip supported by the Members of Mayoral Committee will lead the Municipality’s employees as they give 67 minutes of their time in support of international Mandela Day.

Members of the media are invited give coverage to the Emfuleni Local Municipality Mandela Day program. This year activities will happen at the following different places within Emfuleni Local Municipality.

 For your convenience kindly receive the Municipality Mandela day projects for the day.

The first project: will take place at Sebokeng Hospital; the Executive Mayors entourage will arrive at 07:00 at the Sebokeng Hospital (CEO boardroom)

Second project: will take place at Bophelong house number: 4698 Bophelong Ext 9, At 10:00 Cllr. Penny Sengoatsi MMC for health and Welfare accompanied by the honourable Hlengiwe Mkhize the minister of the department of Home of Affairs will arrive at the house.

Third project: will take place at Sharpeville Vaal Metro Multi-disability Academy the ward Councillor will lead the program from 11:30

Fourth Project: will take place at Sharpeville Ikageng Old Age Center the ward Councillor will lead the program from 12:00

Fifth Project: will take place at Sharpeville ECD the ward Councillor will lead the program from 12:45.

Emfuleni Local Municipality is commemorating Mandela Day as an opportunity to intensify its outreach campaigns aimed at improving the quality of lives of the vulnerable and less fortunate citizens.
