Media Advisory: MEC Nkosi-Malobane to host Men’s Dialogue on Gender Based Violence
11 October 2017 - The Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane and Emfuleni Executive Mayor, Mahole Mofokeng, accompanied by senior officials from the South African Police Service (SAPS) will on Thursday, 12th October 2017, host the Provincial Men’s Dialogue following recent spate of rapes and gruesome killings of young women in the Province.
The event, expected to be attended by 1000 men, will start with a march from Thabong Mall, Sebokeng to raise awareness on the impact of gender based violence and proceed towards Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex where the MEC will hold a dialogue to discuss remodelling of men to be safety promoters and to be mentors of young men.
The event will culminate with the signing of a pledge by representatives of various organisations.
