The newly renovated Small Farms church to be handed over the the community

13 January 2010 - The Emfuleni Local Municipality, in conjunction with the Eindhoven Municipality in the Netherlands, will be handing over Roman Catholic Church in Small Farms to the Church board members and the community.

This follows a comprehensive renovation to the church through the Emfuleni/Eindhoven twinning project.  The renovations were done by a team of sixty volunteers which was made of 20 young professionals from Netherlands, 20 students from the Vaal University of Technology and 20 volunteers from Evaton.

The Small Farms Project is one of the programs which the two Municipalities (Emfuleni and Eindhoven) have been running since the establishment of a partnership in 1999. These programs have not only attracted other partners from the industry but have made a significant contribution towards the upliftment of local communities.
