Lockdown extended, ELM continues to implement Covid-19 measures (Municipal account payments).

With increasing Covid-19 (Coronavirus) infections and the national lockdown extended till end of April, the municipality continues with additional initiatives to promote the Social Distancing concept. Social Distancing is defined as deliberate increase in the physical space between people to avoid the spread of illness. The municipality has a duty to protect both staff and customers from Covid-19 in an effort to flatten the infection curve.

The Rates Hall located at the ELM head office (Cnr. Frikkie Meyer and Klassie Havenga) will remain open for walk-in payments during the extended lockdown.

Customers who pay accounts via the internet and bank deposits are advised to use the following details (Standard Bank, Account No. 420 502 084, Business Current Account) when paying monthly municipal accounts. Customers are advised to reference the 8-digit municipal account numbers starting with 1 and 2 when making account payments.

The municipality further urges customers to pay their municipal accounts on time through EasyPay facilities found at any Checkers, Pick ‘n Pay, Friendly, Woolworths and the South African Post Office nationwide.
