EVATON TO DADAVILLE
A service provider has been appointed by Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) for the Construction of Bulk Water Supply to the various supply zones along the main pipeline route from Evaton to Dadaville. The Contract involves the partial construction of a bulk water pipeline and associated infrastructure from the municipal pipework at the outlet of the Langerand Reservoir to the termination point approximately 4.7 km away from Emfuleni Local Municipality.
The overall scope of work involves the construction of a 4700m bulk water supply pipeline and associated infrastructure to supply the area of Evaton and Dadaville through a DN900 pipeline supplied from Evaton to Dadaville area by tying into the existing bulk municipal pipework, which is termed the southern supply to supply the area of Evaton. The project is aimed at providing a steady and sustainable supply of clean potable water.

TSHEPISO TO SHARPEVILLE
Sharpeville and Tshepiso communities have been facing low water pressure due to water demand surpassing the current supply capacity. To resolve this issue, over five km of bulk water pipeline will be constructed starting at Sharpeville reservoir ending at Steve Tshete Street. The municipality has already appointed the service provider. The project is envisaged to take 12 months to complete.
While there have been challenges related to stoppages of work by local contractors, these have been resolved and work is continuing. The municipality continues to improve infrastructure development for the benefit of Emfuleni residents.
